Voce:

We're a bunch of young, varied, ambitious individuals.

This page has the people that make Voce tick, but really everyone in the choir helps run things...
See the pictures they're desperate to find replacements for by clicking here: Pictures of our current members...

Suzi Digby Eatwell (Lady Eatwell) O.B.E.: Founder and musical director

Suzi is the Founder & Principal of The Voices Foundation, a music education charity that works with deprived inner city and rural primary schools throughout England and Wales with an innovative singing-based scheme.
She has founded and directed several high-calibre choirs, adjudicated numerous international choir competitions, including the forthcoming "Last Choir Standing", and, through Artsworks, runs corporate workshops for companies such as BP, Allen & Overy and Freshfields.
She's also a Fellow of the Royal Society and a Churchill Fellow.
Suzi married Lord Eatwell in Summer 2006, and was awarded the O.B.E. in 2007, for services to music education.
There isn't room to talk about all her credentials here, but for a full biography, click here

Ralph Allwood: president and a guest conductor

Ralph Allwood studied music at Durham and Cambridge Universities and has been Precentor and Director of Music at Eton College since 1985. He founded and directs the four annual Eton Choral Courses. He is a judge for Sainsbury's Choir of the Year and the Llangollen International Eisteddfod, and is a Choral Advisor for Novello. He was recently made an Honorary Fellow of the Royal School of Church Music.

Or as the Times put it, "Ralph Allwood, the finest trainer of young choirs in the country today"

Tim Sutton: guest conductor

Tim is one of the most successful composers of his generation, as well as being a much-admired conductor and musician.  Recently praised for his work with "the Little Prince" (BBC2), he has also written a number of works specially for Voce, and has conducted us in three concert.
We can't do him justice here, but for a full biography, click here...

Harry Briggs: Chair/ co-founder

Harry runs a start-up drinks company called Firefly.  He honed his singing at St. George's Chapel Windsor, Eton and Oxford, plays the piano, and enjoys skiing, climbing, film, opera, seeing the world...  His job was to find the initial brave singers to join Voce in Summer 2003, and he now looks after the website and public face of Voce.

Kate Jones: co-founder

Kate Jones is currently the Music Projects Manager for BBC Wales.  The M4 sadly keeping her from day-to-day runing of the choir, she was part of the founding group (Suzi, Harry, Olly and Kate) and her connections with Sainsbury Choir of the Year (which she's run for 6 years) and general contact with the music industry mean she's an invaluable asset to Voce.

Oliver Condy: co-founder

Olly is editor of BBC Music magazine, and a renowned concert organist.  As well as helping get Voce off the ground in the early days, Olly is a superb tenor, and fount of wisdom about running concerts in London.

Marcia Bennie: experienced hand

Marcia has been helping choirs for over 20 years, and is a wonderful calming influence on concert days, greeting people arriving and spotting the things we've forgotten before they become a problem.  We're indebted to her.

And of course all the Voce members, who keep Voce running.
