keeping Voce going, but no-one gets massively over-burdened.

Conductor*
Lady
Eatwell OBE, nee Suzi Digby, who plans our programmes, conducts our choir and
serves as our Grande Diva.
Assistant Conductor*
Currently -
David Neal.
Responsible
for working with the Conductor to ensure Voce has the best sound possible. Leads
warm ups at Conductor’s request. Leads note bashing sessions and rehearsals if
Suzi cannot attend. Responsible for working with Conductor to coordinate when
Asst Conductor will be taking rehearsals, leading sessions, etc. Responsible for
reporting back to Conductor on how sessions went (e.g., level of attendance,
progress, etc.)
Finances Manager*
Currently -
David Clasen
Accountable
for the finances of the choir. Responsible for preparing a statement of accounts
and budget for presentation to Executive Committee and to Choir. Responsible for
budgeting choir concerts, arranging for payment of hire venue, musicians.
Receives ticket income from Ticketing Manager.
Choir Correspondent*
Currently - Helen Begley
Responsible
for reminding Voce members of upcoming rehearsal dates, changes in venue,
important logistical information about choir concerts. Works with Exec
Committee and other Managers to agree communications strategy to ensure that key
information is disseminated to Choir. Responsible for arranging Exec Com
meetings and keeping track of who can attend.
Librarian
Currently - Matt O’Malley/ Chloe Zadeh
Responsible
for ensuring that music is available for the choir once it has been selected by
the Conductor. Responsible for arranging the ordering and delivery of rented
music. When appropriate, responsible for copying music or enlisting choir
volunteers to make copies.
Venue Manager
Currently: Bronwen Stephens
Responsible
for liaising with rehearsal venue staff to agree rehearsal dates, responsible
for arranging logistics of rehearsal venue—setup, keys, cleanup.
Ticketing Manager
Leo Ballerio/ Assisted by Emilie Bosworth Speaight
Responsible
for ordering tickets for upcoming Voce concerts, distributing tickets to choir
members for pre-sale, arranging for public advance sales (via email/mobile
phone), and for arranging front-of-house ticket sales on concert days.
Responsible for informing Finances Manager of ticket income from
concerts.
Survey Manager
Currently – Jane MacArthur
Responsible
for sending out surveys to the choir after each concert and encouraging feedback
on our performance. Responsible for collating results and presenting to
Conductor, Executive Committee, and Choir. Also responsible for
sending out dates for the diary survey and informing Attendance Manager
of singers who will be absent, Auditions Manager and E-List Manager
in order to update rosters for next term.
Auditions Manager
Currently
- Chris Jewel-Clark
Works with
Conductor to schedule interested singers to audition for voce. Responsible for
coordinating singers, collecting personal details and music background details.
Responsible for informing Attendance Manager and E-List Manager of
names, parts, and email/phone addresses of successful auditionees. Responsible
for informing Venue Manager when auditions will be held.
Attendance Manager
Currently – Jonathan Farrant
Responsible for keeping track of attendance and provide list of singers for
the concert. Works with Programme Designer and Conductor & Assistant Conductor
to let them know who will be singing.
Choir Email List
Lauren Sager Weinstein
Responsible for maintaining the Voce
Email list and the private membership database on the Voce website.
Flyer Designer
Currently – Isabel de Trafford
Responsible
for preparing the posters and flyers for upcoming concerts and for printing
them.
Programme Designer
Currently – Helen Begley
Responsible for writing and producing
programme for Voce concerts. Responsible for working with Conductor, &
Assistant Conductor to prepare content for programme, responsible for
working with Attendance Manager for list of singers, responsible for
confirming location for future dates with Venue Manager.
Website Designer
Currently
- Harry Briggs
Responsible
for ensuring our Website is up to date with members info and upcoming concert
info.
Concert Manager
Currently – Rosemary Galton, assisted by Clare Ashwin
Responsible for ensuring that performance logistics on
concert days flow smoothly.
Usually rotates each concert.
Works with the Conductor, Assistant Conductor, Venue
Manager, Ticketing Manager, on all aspects of the performance.
Tour Manager
Currently – Alison Wood
Responsible for arranging any Voce tours
and concert manages performances that are not Voce’s own.
Social Events Planner
Currently JESS SANDBROOK
Responsible
for booking social events for Voce singers. Books any post-concert reception,
and informal get-togethers to build morale.
PR
Ellie
Cumbo
Responsible for maintaining our Facebook presence, and also reaching out to
choir-related email lists and websites.
Other Things
