THE REHEARSAL DETAILS:

All evening rehearsals run from 7pm until about 9pm, and we usually go for a drink afterwards.

Directions to the Grosvenor Chapel, South Audley Street,  London W1K 2PA (see photo, right)

Nearest tubes is Bond Street (simplest - 5 mins), but you can also reach it from Green Park (8 mins walk)

From Bond Street tube, come out of the tube onto Oxford Street, and turn left (West) towards Selfridges.  When you've passed Selfridges on the right, you'll see North Audley Street to your left.  Follow this street to Grosvenor Square, proceed straight on in front of the American Embassy, into South Audley Street, and Grosvenor Chapel is 2 blocks down on the left hand side.

From Green Park, walk South West down Piccadilly and turn right onto Clarges Street.  Turn left at the end onto Curzon Street, and follow this up the hill for several blocks until you reach South Audley street on the right.  Grosvenor Chapel is 5 short blocks up on the right hand side.

After 6pm, we use the SIDE DOOR - as you look at the front of the chapel, go round to the right, then left round the corner, and the side door is at the far end on the left.  If it's not open, please ring the bell.

See map here

Directions to Maria Assumpta Centre, 23 Kensington Square W8 5HN  (see photo, right)

By tube, Kensington Square is 5 minutes from Kensington High Street tube: turn right out of the tube, past Marks & Spencer, and turn right just after GAP into Derry Street.  This leads into Kensington Square, and if you keep walking straight ahead, Maria Assumpta is the first building on the far side of the square (next to the dark red church).

bullet

If you're driving, you can't park in Kensington Square before 10pm, so I suggest you turn off Kensington High Street into Kensington Court (just where Kensington High Street reaches the park); this brings you out into Thackeray Street, where you can park free from 6.30pm; Thackeray Street leads into Kensington Square.

bullet

Buses 9 and 10 and 52 stop on Kensington High Street - get out next to Marks & Spencer and follow tube directions above.

Directions to Christ Church:

On the map, Christ Church is on the junction of Victoria Road and Eldon Road.

bullet

From Gloucester Road tube, walk North up Gloucester Road (over Cromwell Road) until you reach Kynance Mews (about fourth left). Turn left down Kynance Mews, cross over Launceston Place into the second half of Kynance Mews, and after about 100 yards, you'll see some well-hidden steps on your right with a sign saying Foot access to Victoria Road. Christ Church is right next to the top of these steps- the entrance is from Eldon Road...

bullet

From High Street Kensington, go East (Kensington Gardens on your left) until you see Victoria Road to your right (about 3rd right after Kensington Palace); follow it right down to the end, and you'll find Christ Church at the end on the right. There are meter spaces that are free after 6.30 (I think) on Eldon Road.

Buses 9,10 and 52 also stop near the top of Victoria Road. Phew!
