"Merry
Christmas from Firefly"
Dear Harry,
|

Father Christmas prepares for a busy week |
Merry Christmas from
FIREFLY...
Only four
days to go, hooray.
We just
thought now might be a good time to wish you a very Happy Christmas, and
tell you a bit of our news… A bit like those embarrassing Christmas
round-robins, but with more pictures and no news about Freddie in the
school play…

Anyway, Happy Christmas and all the best,
|
(And if this message fails to raise any Christmas cheer, do just let me
know and I’ll remove you from the mailing list. Promise…)

Our new SELF
DEFENCE drink is here…
By
popular request… 70% of our survey (with the last newsletter) wanted a
drink to boost the Immune system…
Well, we’ve
made it. “Self Defence”.
It’s orange.
It’s got Echinacea in (not forgetting Thyme, Elderberry, Acerola and other
hard-to-pronounce herbs).
Itsu say it’s
our best-tasting drink yet. Juicy orange with a hint of black pepper.
And the
Sunday Mirror say it’s their “favourite… to help your immune system fight
off those nasty Winter bugs”.
Hope you like
the Karate man – “Kung flu” (ho ho)

Here’s what
the papers said… |
|
 |
(From the Independent on Sunday)

|
Selfridges are taking us on for the New Year De-tox |
|
 |
In case
Harvey Nichols just isn’t your bag, baby, from 5th January
you’ll be able to get Firefly at Selfridges food halls in
London Oxford Street, Manchester Trafford, Manchester Exchange Square and
the new Birmingham Bull Ring. We’ll be doing samplings in January and
February, so do please come and give us a bit of support if you’re nearby… |
|
We were Finalists for Enterprising Young Brits awards.
Great
to be shortlisted for this Daily Mail sponsored prize - we even got to rub
shoulders with
Gordon
Brown (big shoulders those)
Obviously a
bit gutted not to win, but then, as this was the photo the Daily Mail were
going to print if we did, perhaps it’s not such a bad thing…
|
|
Some nice press...
“Closer”
called Firefly Wake up “the perfect morning kick-start” (but still only
gave it 4/5, darn…)

Marketing
magazine did a full-page on us; "jolly informality with more than a dash
of spontaneity” was the key to our “burgeoning success”…
Ahem.
 |
And some more
obscure…
Firefly’s
been spotted in Air
Canada’s in-flight mag, on the
cover of the Simon Johnson catalogue (Australia), on a beach shoot in the
Maldives, and in “Natural Health” magazine in Italy.
But our
favourite was this photo, of a Firefly billboard in
Amsterdam, that appeared in a Dutch management magazine…
|
 |
Photo of the
year…
As you may
know, we ask people to send in photos for the front of our bottles.
Well, the
response has been fascinating – from the beautiful to the downright
bizarre; none has yet been quite the thing to go on our bottles; but
congratulations to Kamal Anwar for probably the most memorable photo so
far… |

|
Well, that’s
about it from us for 2004.
In case you need to
get in touch, we’re closing from
4pm on 23rd December, and we’ll be back (most of
us anyway) on Tuesday 4th January.
In the meantime,
have a very Merry Christmas - don’t forget to stock
up on De-tox - thanks for all your support during 2004, and best regards for
the New Year.
All the best,
Harry, Marcus &
Jess.
